One of the clubs my partner and I checked out in New York on our recent "World Domination Tour" was SPLASH a busy club with sexy Go Go dancers. Unfortunately this boy was not at the venue the night we attended as it was a Latino night when we called in. Although we felt very out of place we did stay for awhile to take in as much as possible.
My partner and I last month went on a five week around the world vacation that was scheduled between two major Circuit Parties.
Firstly the 20th White Party in Palm Springs California, and Finally Rapido in Amsterdam.
This was our first time to the White Party and can I say we loved it, it was the highlight of our vacation.
Prior to leaving Australia we were advised not to stay at Wyndham Hotel by a friend, "too late" I explained, "don't get a room facing the pool" he said, "too late" I replied .
"You won't sleep" he said.
We stayed at the Wyndham Hotel in a room overlooking the pool and it was awesome!
To those of you who don't know much about the White Party it is a Gay Circuit Party produced by Jeffrey Sanger and is held in Palm Springs, this year was it's 20th birthday.
Thousands of hot boys come from all over the United States and abroad to have fun dancing at a number of parties held in a number of venues in Palm Springs. All of the action revolves around the Wyndham Hotel, approx 1,400 boys take over the hotel, from small parties in rooms to a party in the Presidential Suite with Go Go dancers. (We crashed the Presidential Suite Party!)
This years White Party featured the very talented Lady Ga Ga, performing for a massive 75 minutes with dancers and full dress changes she blew the crowd away.
The first party of the 3 day event was the Pool Party on Friday afternoon, we choose to spend this time resting for the Underwear / Swim wear party commencing later that night.
Friday night we attended the Underwear / Swim wear Party, it started slow but quickly got into full swing with beautiful Go Go dancers adorning the podiums and sexy boys to men in their briefs. Held in the Wyndham Hotel Ballroom it was very convenient as no need to do the walk of shame outside the hotel grounds.
The next morning was the main Pool Party, no chance of sleeping in, so we got up (had breakfast at the Casino US$5.99) highly recommend it, then returned to our room to prepare ourselves for the afternoon in the sun dancing at the Pool Party.
The Pool party was terrific, so many beautiful beautiful boys, a great stage show and awesome music played by twin DJ's above.
Sexy boys in lycra laying and splashing in the pool with the mountain range in the background as the sun set creating silhouettes through the palm trees, was this heaven!
After the Pool party it was time to prepare for the feature event "White Party 20" we put on our skimpy white outfits and walked to the Palm Springs Convention center which was located just behind our hotel.
We walked into the White Party not sure what to expect, I must admit the venue was smaller than we expected but was outfitted brilliantly featuring a massive stage with catwalk and two large viewing platforms and a stylish VIP area.
The outfits were interesting, some boys need more direction as to what a WHITE Party dress code is (WHITE for the uneducated!).
Two hot guys we met and became good friends with were Brandon and Nathan below.
These guys must have been the most photographed at the event.
Lady Ga Ga at the White Party
The next morning we managed to sleep in through the music of yet another Pool Party, we decided not to attend and save our energy for the Tea Dance to be held in the afternoon.
In the afternoon we walked to the Tea Dance, not knowing exactly what o expect we simply followed the stream of boys leaving the hotel like sheep. As we turned the final corner we were confronted by a huge ferris wheel and giant slide, massive lighting rig and stage.
I must say we were blown away by the scale of the infrastructure brought in just for this party. The logistics alone were beyond belief, we took a ride on the ferris wheel as the sun set behind the mountain range.
I had been told that a lot of boys come from L.A. just for this party, and it was the case, even more beautiful boys were everywhere. The party commenced at 3pm and was due to finish at 10pm, however was still going after 10 when we left to get ready for the final closing party back at the Hotel.
The tea dance peaked with a live performance by the very talented Kat De Luna and her sexy dancers singing some of her big hits including whine up, then as the lights went down on her performance the sky was illuminated with a 10 minute choreographed fireworks display!
Finally on Sunday evening the Closing Party back at the Hotel's ballroom, during the Tea Dance I wondered how on earth all of these guys are going to fit into the final venue.
The Closing party went off, it was so hot inside it was actually unbearable, though we stayed till 5am so as to get atleast 5 hours sleep before departing for the airport to catch a flight to New York.
So that briefly sums up the 20th White Party in Palm Springs!
